In my quest to find some old educational material from LEGO by the same name, I found this 1987 book. I suspect that this book covers more or less the same ideas but was made for the public while the educational material was made for schools. It uses LEGO set 1090 and a Commodore 64 or 128 computer with a Comal 80 cartridge.

The software disk that originally came with this book was unfortunately not preserved in the version I could get from the library. Judging by the contents of the book, it is likely the same disk (with the “BOX” program) that was included with the educational material, and it might be possible to use the software that came with this.

In 1987 the Danish electronics magazine “Populær Elektronik” had two articles with instructions on how to build a Commodore 64/128 interface for use with e.g. LEGO. In many ways, it’s a competitor to LEGO’s Interface A. At least one more article was planned but apparently never released.

You ought be able to make a decent translation e.g. by taking screenshots and pasting them directly into Google Translate Images.

A couple of years ago, I got my hands on a rare set used internally by LEGO. Apparently it was produced for the Production Planning department of LEGO, so probably only a few copies exist.

When I got it, it was just a small cardboard box including bricks, two stickers and a piece of paper which can be seen here. The box and the brick bag is just generic items that I added to store the set in.

As an extra goodie, the box included a special 2×4 prototype brick with thick walls, without stud logos, a round side pip and only the number “15” inside. I consider this a promotional item given with the set more than the brick actually being part of the set.
